The sword was the preferred weapon in chivalry. Certain knight personalized them with their name or by inlaying symbols.
The most used swords were the swords called bastards, straight and double-edged, whose length oscillated between 100 and 120 cm, and weighed between 1200 and 2000 grams which allowed an easy handling.
Other types of swords were used during this period, such as ceremonial swords, straight which could reach two meters or more and weigh up to four kilograms.
