An LPVO 1-6x for quickly switching from x1 to x6

The Sightmark Pinnacle 1-6x24 TMD FFP features a low-power scope design with a 1x to 6x magnification range. At the lowest magnification, the wide field of view and illuminated reticle facilitate rapid target acquisition. By rotating the ring to 6x magnification, the optics provide greater visual precision for working at longer distances.

It is precisely this transition between low and medium magnification that makes an LPVO interesting: a single optic allows you to cover several situations without changing the configuration of the weapon.

TMD reticle in the first focal plane

The TMD reticle is positioned in the first focal plane (FFP) . Its apparent size therefore changes with magnification, along with the observed image. The reticle graduations thus maintain their angular relationship regardless of the selected magnification level.

The TMD reticle combines a central dot, vertical and horizontal MRAD graduations, and correction marks. It also incorporates a BDC function, with markings designed specifically for ballistic configurations such as 5.56x45mm 55gr and 7.62x51mm 180gr.

Red or green illumination on 5 levels

The central part of the reticle can be illuminated in red or green . Five brightness levels allow you to adjust its intensity to the conditions. In practice, this illumination makes it easier to immediately read the center of the reticle when the background lacks contrast.

The choice between red and green also offers the possibility of retaining the most comfortable color depending on the environment and the shooter's preferences.

MRAD settings at 0.1 MRAD clicks

The turrets operate in MRAD , consistent with the reticle graduations. Each click corresponds to 0.1 MRAD , while the total advertised range reaches 40 MRAD in both elevation and windage.

This correspondence between the reticle and turrets makes reading corrections particularly intuitive for a shooter accustomed to the metric system. Parallax is factory-set to 100 yards .

Multi-layered Japanese lenses

The quality of a scope isn't solely determined by its reticle. Sightmark equips this Pinnacle with Japanese lenses featuring a multi-coating. This enhances light transmission and image quality while also providing additional scratch resistance.

The 24mm lens remains intentionally compact, in keeping with the LPVO design. The 30mm body, meanwhile, allows for the use of numerous mounts compatible with this diameter.

IP67 construction for field conditions

The design meets the IP67 standard . The optics are advertised as waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof. This level of protection is essential for a pair of glasses that will be exposed to humidity, dust, and the varying conditions encountered outdoors.

The advertised resistance up to .338 caliber also expands the choice of compatible platforms, provided that a mount correctly sized for the weapon and optic is used.

FAQ

What does FFP mean on the Sightmark Pinnacle 1-6x24?

FFP stands for first focal plane. The reticle changes in apparent size with magnification, which allows its angular graduations to maintain their value regardless of the magnification used.

Is the TMD reticle on this scope illuminated?

Yes. The TMD reticle features red or green illumination with five brightness levels to adapt its contrast to the conditions of use.

What is the value of a click on the turrets?

Each click corresponds to 0.1 MRAD. The advertised adjustment range is 40 MRAD in elevation and 40 MRAD in windage.
