Customize the short stroke of a Hi-Capa

The BUFF Waldo Dynamics Hi-Capa short stroke kit allows you to reduce and adjust the slide travel of a compatible GBB pistol. The principle of short stroke is to limit its movement in order to shorten the mechanical cycle.

The main advantage of this kit lies in its modularity. Rather than a single configuration, it offers several buffers that can be combined to adapt the travel and mechanical feel of the Hi-Capa to the desired setup.

Two buffer hardness settings to adjust behavior

The kit includes two types of buffers. The 3 yellow buffers are flexible and 5 mm thick, while the 5 black buffers are harder and 3 mm thick.

This difference in hardness and thickness multiplies the assembly possibilities. It is possible to play with the number and type of buffers installed to obtain a shorter or longer configuration and modify the cycle behavior.

5mm flexible yellow buffers

The thicker, 5mm yellow buffers allow for a further reduction in travel with a limited number of components. Their softer material also provides a different feel upon contact during bolt movement.

Three examples are provided. They can be used alone or combined with the black buffers to progressively fine-tune the short stroke setting.

3mm hard black buffers

The 3mm black buffers are thinner and harder. With five included in the kit, they allow for smaller incremental upgrades, offering more flexibility in finding a travel setting that suits the Hi-Capa configuration.

Mixing black and yellow buffers allows for more than a kit composed of identical elements. This enables you to work on both the total installed thickness and the overall hardness.

Two protective metal washers

The kit also includes 2 thin metal washers . These are used with the buffers during assembly and provide a protective function within the short stroke assembly.

In total, the kit therefore includes eight buffers and two washers, with enough combinations to experiment with several settings without completely changing the system.
